ABOUT DAWN STRINGER:

Dawn Stringer grew up in sunny Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and spent her childhood and young adulthood on stage for dance, theater, and beauty pageants. She is a former television news anchor, an animal lover, a wife, and the mom of two little boys. She is also a melanoma survivor and patient advocate. 

By using her platform as Mrs. Forth Worth at the Mrs. Texas pageant, she strives to educate others on the dangers surrounding skin cancer by using her personal story as a cautionary tale.
