Dr. Adrienne Trier-Bieniek is a gender and media scholar and the author of The Beyonce Effect and Gender and Pop Culture. Her insights have been shared in noted publications like The New York Times, Glamour, NPR, and more. Adrienne began her graduate work in sociology at Virginia Tech in 2005, and in 2011, received a Ph.D. in sociology from West Michigan University.
